In many countries with Steiner/Waldorf schools there are also training opportunities. The structure of the training courses varies greatly from country to country. They range from state-recognised full-time seminars to in-service courses given at schools. In addition, there are subject-related training courses and, in «young» Waldorf countries, so-called itinerant seminars that take place periodically. In the meantime, there are also various distance learning options.

Students have the opportunity in this training course to find their individual true meaning in the world. In an international group they can deepen their philosophical understanding, confront the contradictions of our time, find alternative paths and come to a clearer understanding of themselves through interaction in the world. Anthroposophy helps to ask the right questions to find who you really are.

The «European Council for Steiner Waldorf Education (ECSWE)» is a federation of 27 European Waldorf associations. The federation aims to support and improve the legal and social framework of European Waldorf schools. In addition, ECSWE is committed to freedom in education.
The association «Freunde der Erziehungskunst Rudolf Steiners» (Friends of Waldorf Education) is committed to Waldorf education worldwide. It has supported more than 830 Waldorf educational institutions so far. Around 1800 people do voluntary work each year. In the field of emergency education, the association based in Stuttgart (DE) carries out urgently needed rehabilitation measures in crisis areas.
The General Anthroposophical Society at the Goetheanum is a cosmopolitan initiative with 36 National Societies and a good 42'000 members. It was founded in 1923 and since then has had its headquarters at the Goetheanum in Dornach (CH). The members of the Society enable and promote the Goetheanum, which sees itself as a School of Spiritual Science, a house for the arts and a meeting place for the worldwide anthroposophical movement.
The School of Spiritual Science at the Goetheanum consists of eleven sections. These are: The General Anthroposophical Section, the Sections for Education, Natural Sciences, Youth, Medicine, Agriculture, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Social Sciences and the Section for Mathematics-Astronomy.
The «Hague Circle – International Council for Steiner Waldorf Education» advises on the basis of a differentiated perception about the essential criteria of Waldorf education and about its design in very different geographical, cultural, economic and political regions of the world. The international organisation of 48 teachers from 33 countries and 6 continents wants to support, keep alive and promote the quality of teaching in Waldorf schools and kindergartens.
The «International Association for Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Education (IASWECE)» supports training and further education for work with the child through working groups, joint research projects, conferences and worldwide collegial partnerships.
There are now over 2000 kindergartens in the world that work according to Rudolf Steiner's pedagogy.
