The General Anthroposophical Society at the Goetheanum is a cosmopolitan initiative with 36 National Societies and a good 42'000 members. It was founded in 1923 and since then has had its headquarters at the Goetheanum in Dornach (CH). The members of the Society enable and promote the Goetheanum, which sees itself as a School of Spiritual Science, a house for the arts and a meeting place for the worldwide anthroposophical movement.
The School of Spiritual Science at the Goetheanum consists of twelve sections. These are: The General Anthroposophical Section, the Sections for Education, Natural Sciences, Youth, Medicine, Agriculture, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Social Sciences, Mathematics-Astronomy and the Section for Inclusive Social Development.
